And here we go again! Another Mother Hubbard set, but this time the pattern has been reduced 2% and there will be more leather which means more places for tooling! <G>

I have redrawn the back tooling from the other pattern so that it mimics the front pattern.

This saddle is made from a Jennifer Harris tree and the REAL WOOD (not balsa wood either!)Stirrups were made by Robin Poehlein. (BLESS YOU ROBIN!.

THe saddle itself is finished.  Next up are the bridle, the bosilla, the mecate and the string girth.

Finally, In November 2007 I finished the reins! The small knots on the reins, inbetween the larger knots are spanish ring knots, although without my magnifying glass, I can't tell!  All of the knots have been coated so that they don't unravel.

I am planning a braided headstall to go with the Reins and of course, a woven cinch.

April 22 2008

The Bosalita and hanger are now finished.  I'm working on putting finishing touches on the mecate.

Onto the Bridle Next!

I have FINALLY gotten the bit shanks done for the bridle for the mother hubbard II set! wahhooo!  They are not exactly alike but they are very close.  This means that as soon as I get some time I can start on the bridle.

Right now I'm working on the mecate for the bosalita.

I'm getting closer to done and it feels great!  I might be done by July '08...

Next up is going to be some tack for me I think.  I've always wanted a parade set!

This is a braided show halter made to fit the Breyer Lady  Phase Mold.  I had made another Lady Phase Halter last year but it wasn't "up to snuff" so I made this one. This one is much better constructed and fits the newer releases of the Lady Phase Mold.  It will be for sale at the end of March 08.

Please excuse my Photography "Assistant".

This is a Recently finished bosal.  It will be Donated to Heather Jackson-Lain's Show, "Model Horses Anonymous" held in TN in April.  I had given up on the thought of doing donations for shows this year due to my hectic schedule but this one worked out because I had the bosal already made.

It Features Real Interwoven turks head knots and a real twisted mecate

This Bosal sold for $133.00 US.

Braided woven western halters have been moved to the Braided Show Halters Page.
